I wanted to post a PSA about the Dynamics AX 2012 R2 cubes and step that I often overlook during the installation. The step is on adding financial dimensions to the cubes. It’s a very simple procedure and can be found here:

In short, when you first deploy the cubes, you may not have complete configured AX to use all the financial dimensions that you want. Because of this, the default AX cube project in the AOT doesn’t include any of the dimensions. Remember, the financial dimensions are completely customizable in AX 2012, unlike 2009 when they were static. To add the dimensions, all you have to do is run the SSAS project wizard in AX and update the project. Very easy.
